Madica-2024-English-details
In collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of Scientific Exchanges (APES, Lyon1-FR), we organize the 13th MADICA2024 Days.
This 2024 edition is dedicated to the memory of Professor Hafedh BEN OUADA, the main founder of ATIS, and the organizer of MADICA since its first edition in 1996.
MADICA Days are structured as follows:
A- November 12-13, 2024: A thematic school ( a theoretical and practical training) on acoustic sensors is dedicated to Tunisian PhD students and researchers.
This training is conducted by our French colleagues Professors Corinne DEJOUS and Jean-Luc LACHAUD from the University of Bordeaux.
B- November 14-16, 2024: Maghreb-Europe Days on "Innovative Sensor Devices for Health, Environment, and Agriculture: Sensors as part of the one health concept"; (MADICA 2024).
These days will provide an opportunity to review the latest developments and innovations in the field of materials science and technology oriented towards micro and nanotechnology for chemical, physical, and biosensors. These aspects are of interest to stakeholders in research, industry, and technical centers.
Through these days, we aim to:
- Bring together stakeholders in the agri-food, pharmaceutical, biomedical, forensic, environmental, and chemical industries, for which analytical tools are fundamental to ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Share knowledge, expertise, and the latest research findings in the field of sensors and analysis.
- Raise awareness among students and future stakeholders (technical and management personnel) about the importance of analysis in the sectors covered during this meeting.
- Provide an opportunity for exchange between participants and economic actors.
MADICA 2024 is the continuation of a biennial series that began with the first MADICA colloquium organized in October 1996, as part of a project of the Joint Commission for University Cooperation between the Faculty of Sciences of Monastir and INSA Lyon, and supported by the French cultural center in Tunis. The success of this colloquium was due to the participation of numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds and institutions from various countries in Europe and the Maghreb.
The themes addressed during the MADICA2024 days will revolve around four main axes:
1. Sensors and devices for environmental applications
2. Sensors and devices for applications in health
3. Sensors and devices for applications in agronomy
4. New materials for sensor applications
