History and aims

As part of our activities in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of Scientific Exchanges (APES, Lyon1-FR), we are organizing the 12th version of the Maghreb-Europe days on "Materials and Applications to Devices and Sensors" (MADICA 2022) which will be held on November 9, 10 and 11, 2022 in Monastir.

These scientific days will make it possible to take stock of the latest developments and innovations in the field of science and technology of materials oriented towards  micro and nanotechnology for chemical sensors, biosensors, physical sensors, and optoelectronic devices. These aspects are of interest to researchers, in industry, and  also technical centres. We aim through these days to:

Bring together actors from the agri-food, pharmaceutical, biomedical, forensic environments, and chemical industries for whom the analytical tool is fundamental to ensure the quality and

safety of products as well as compliance with regulations.

Share knowledge and expertise as well as the latest research results in the field of sensors and analytics.

Raise awareness among the students and future actors (technical and management staff) of the importance of the field of analysis in the activity sectors discussed during the meeting.

Provide an opportunity to get in touch with the participants and the economic actors.

MADICA 2022 is the succession of a biannual series whose first MADICA symposium was organized in October 1996 within the framework of a mixed  commission cooperative project between the Faculty of Sciences of Monastir and the INSA of Lyon, supported by the French Cultural Centre in Tunis.

The success of this symposium stems from the participation of many people from different diverse backgrounds and institutions from different European counties and the Maghreb.

Insights :

  1. New materials, Nano-materials, Biomaterials for sensor applications
  2. Sensors, Biosensors, Biochips
